Production Operatives/Assemblers

Celestion is a world leader in loudspeaker technology: our pioneering speaker designs give voice to the most iconic guitar amplifiers and professional audio systems across the globe.

We’re looking for talented Production Operatives/Assemblers to work in our busy UK factory based in Great Blakenham, Suffolk.

You’ll be operating production line equipment and hand-finishing products, so will need to be nimble-fingered with some mechanical aptitude and a strong eye for detail. High levels of concentration and excellent communication skills are essential. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Duties include:

  • Working as part of a production line team building Celestion’s world class loudspeakers
  • Assembling raw materials by hand or using production machinery
  • Use of small hand tools and soldering

Experience required:

  • Proven experience working on a production line involving hand assembly of products
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Lifting and manual handling
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

IT Support Manager

We are seeking a reliable and proactive IT Support Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. This role provides help desk support and is a hands-on, standalone office-based role that would suit someone who enjoys resolving a range of technical issues including both routine and non-routine support-related queries.

While this role is a standalone role for the Celestion site, you will interface and collaborate at Group level with our Global IT team as we use shared systems and resources. This is a key role for Celestion’s UK operations, focused on delivering reliable, day-to-day IT support and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operations of network infrastructure, servers, VOIP systems, and mobile communications
  • Providing first-line and escalated IT support to both internal and remote users in other time zones, ensuring prompt resolution of issues
  • Maintaining system reliability and perform routine checks and updates
  • Aligning I.T infrastructure with current and future business goals and requirements
  • Managing the I.T budget effectively, including procurement planning
  • Developing and implementing risk assessments, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
  • Sourcing and managing installation of new or replacement hardware/software
  • Ensuring all I.T practices are compliant with applicable laws, codes, and regulatory standards
  • Performing ongoing system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Leading the implementation of network, data, and system security measures
  • Representing the UK office within the global IT team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Microsoft Technologies
    Proficient in Windows 10/11 and Office 365 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    Skilled in managing Windows Server 2016/2019, Exchange Online, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Virtualisation
    Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter.
  • Networking
    Experience configuring and maintaining firewalls, switches, WLANs, WANs, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and client SSL VPNs in SME environments.
  • Security
    Daily management of centrally managed antivirus and SaaS-based email security platforms.
  • Interpersonal
    Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on supporting internal and remote users effectively.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Storage Systems
    Familiarity with HPE SAN/NAS environments.
  • Backup & Recovery
    Experience using Veeam Backup & Recovery for onsite and offsite strategies.
  • Telephony Systems
    Hands-on experience with VOIP systems, especially Avaya IP Office on-premise platforms.

Product Manager

Occupying a Marketing role that bridges the Engineering and Sales departments, Celestion is looking for an experienced Product Manager.

Working predominantly to develop further our range of professional audio sound reinforcement transducers, the role involves the interpretation of market requirements and the ability to turn them into successful products.

This begins with the initiation of new product development  by identifying potential opportunities: conducting market research; establishing product requirements; determining specifications and pricing; setting production timetables and managing new product ideas from concept through into production.

Following product completion, the role requires the presentation of the product as a saleable package including market analysis; development of unique features and benefits; launch and production timing; suggested pricing and intended applications.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Determining customers’ needs by carrying out market research.
  • Recommending future products/lines, appraising new product and/or supporting material changes.
  • Assessing the marketplace by comparing Celestion’s product range to that of our competitors.
  • Evaluating market intelligence through customer visits.
  • Providing information for management by providing reports and analyses on product performance  features.
  • Bringing new products to market by understanding proposed product requirements; preparing specification and costing information; establishing time schedules with the  engineering department and project managing into production.
  • Facilitating efficient and timely introduction of products and generating the necessary supporting material.
  • Developing marketing plans for new product: providing input, written content and other material for use by marcom and sales functions.
  • Determining product pricing utilising market data, sales costs and anticipating volume.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.

Previous experience in a product management role is desirable. We would expect the successful candidate to have significant experience in the audio products industry and knowledge of PA and sound reinforcement loudspeakers in particular.

Loudspeaker Development Engineer

See your engineering designs come to life as new Celestion products!

We are seeking an experienced loudspeaker drive-unit engineer to be based at our modern design facility in Ipswich, UK.

The role involves the design of OEM drivers for the music industry and for sound-reinforcement applications. This important position will be responsible for all aspects of design, driver specification, documentation and project management through to production.

The role requires the successful candidate to develop new designs from initial concept into full production. You will have a degree in a relevant engineering or acoustics discipline and an understanding of loudspeakers. Previous experience of using finite element analysis and measurement systems such as Klippel would also be an advantage.

As well as these skills you will be a team player able to work with a minimum of supervision and meet demanding deadlines in a busy department. Good communication and IT skills are essential as is the confidence to steer projects to a conclusion. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team within a fast-paced and exciting working environment.
