G12M-65 Creamback Speaker and IR Go Head to Head

When we captured the impulse response of the Creamback G12M-65 speaker as part of our new speaker IR range, we knew it sounded authentic. But when we compared the physical speaker and IR graphically the match was so close to perfect even we were impressed!Which makes the IR a great way to “test drive” the Creamback G12M before you buy the real thing.

BUILD THIS! Dual 21-inch subwoofer

We were asked to design a dual horn-loaded subwoofer for our NTR21-5010JD speaker. It had to be a hard-hitting long throw horn design that “kicks you in the chest”. This design would be stackable (if you have a truck), with four cabinets being the optimum.

Specifications are:

Material: 18mm birch plywood
Drivers: 2 x NTR21-5010JD
Max continuous SPL (predicted, single box): 138dB 1-watt/1m (-6dB at 45Hz,)
Recommended high pass filter: Butterworth: 24 dB/octave (40Hz cut-off)

Celestion V-Type: an exceptional and unique new guitar speaker

The ToneQuest report is the gold standard of reference material for guitar players who are deadly serious about seeking the ultimate tone.

Recently we sent them a couple of our new V-Types to listen to… here’s what they said:

“The V-Type displays a percussive character and bloom to the notes that seem to define the signature sound of this speaker… we can confidently state that we have never heard a speaker with quite the same tactile feel and response as the V-Type – an exceptional and unique new speaker”

Compression Driver Diaphragm Change

If, in the unlikely event your compression driver breaks down, it’s straightforward to replace it, using an official Celestion diaphragm repair kit. Check out the attached video for some key points on how to make the repair.

You can use the replacement diaphragm kit (shown in the video) to repair the CDX1-1745,
1746,
1730 and
1731.

However there are replacement kits available for most of Celestion’s extensive CDX range  and the method of replacement in each case is very similar and just as straightforward.

Contact your Celestion vendor for more details on the CDX range and available replacement diaphragm kits and find a dealer here: https://celestion.com/where-to-buy/
